Classes and Workshops

Green Goddess Herbals offers classes and workshops on soap, lotion and salve making. They are taught by the owner Andrea whose herbal studies began in 1976 while her soap and lotion making skills have spanned over a course of 25 years. For the past 15 years she has  shared with her students the tips and techniques  she has gathered over the years. They are offered on our farmstead at 245 Carriage Shop Rd. East Falmouth, Ma. 02536

Prepayment is required to secure your spot.
We accept credit card or cash payment on the Farm. Sorry no checks.
To purchase your spot on our secure website please click the link below the class listing. Upon checkout you will be asked for the class date you want to attend and a contact phone number.
You will receive a confirmation receipt after purchase. Please contact us if you do not.
Please inform us of any allergies before signing up. Classes will be held on a second floor. We can arrange a separate class for those with disabilities.
 If by chance the class is full we will refund your payment. Cancellations require 48 hours notice in advance to be issued a full refund. Please sign up a week before the class to give us time to prepare handouts and gather necessary materials. Classes with less then a minimum of 4 students may be considered insufficient enrollment and at the teacher's discretion might be cancelled. Students will be notified in advance and refunds will be issued. Class may be canceled due to inclement weather; in such case students will be given a choice of a refund or a new class date.

Soap making 101: 
 A hands on workshop where you will learn the basics of making cold-process soap from scratch the old fashioned way. Students will learn about the process, safety precautions, equipment and ingredients used to make handmade soap!

This class is 3+/-  hours long and students and will go home with their own  batch of handmade soap (approx. 6 bars). You will receive handouts with a recipe and a list of suppliers for ingredients for your future soap making. We provide latex free gloves and safety goggles that must be worn during class. (or plan to bring your own) Eye glasses are not acceptable eye protection.
What to bring: Clothing should include long sleeves and shoes without open toes. Wear clothing that might get stained. Please bring a trash bag to protect the floor of your car while transporting your fresh soap home.
Cold process classes are limited to 4 people each class.

Lotions and Creams Class:
A hands on workshop where you will learn how to make your own custom blend lotions and creams. We will go over the ingredients used, sanitary measures and the emulsification process used to make oils and waters combine successfully. Each student will bring home a cream or a lotion and hair conditioner that they made themselves, with    
                                            handouts of recipes and a list of suppliers.
                                            We supply all ingredients and latex free gloves.
Lotion and Creams classes are limited to 8 people each class.

Herbal Oil Infusions, Balms and Salves Class:

A hands on workshop where you will learn the different methods to make an oil infusion from fresh or dried herbs and  how to turn your oil infusion into a handmade balm or salve. Each student will choose an herbal blend to bring home for an oil infusion to use for your future projects. During class each student will make 3 lip balms, a 2 oz herbal salve and a 1 oz. travel size deodorant. You will leave with a general understanding of the process and handouts on the most common herbs used for salve preparations and their uses and what to look for in quality organic herbs.
 Herbal Oil Infusions, Balms and Salves classes are limited to 8 people each class.
